11. Are you offended by the phrase “Under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance? Why or why not?

Sarah Palin: Not on your life. If it was good enough for the founding fathers, its good enough for me and I’ll fight in defense of our Pledge of Allegiance.

What an idiot. "Under God" was added in 1954.

AHAahhaha also uhhhhh when were women able to vote? let alone run for office? i believe it was the 19th ammendment in the year 1920. many many years after the founding fathers were deceased. Also remember that little thing called slavery? good enough for palin i guess. :lmao:

Palin met with Republican governors Thursday and said afterward that leading a state means you have to make decisions and not just vote "present."

"We don't have a 'present' button as governor — we are expected to lead, we are expected to take action and not just vote 'present,'" said Palin, who is in her first term as Alaska's governor. "So there's a big difference, of course, between the executive and legislative branches and our experience."

Every Republican legislator in attendance was squirming in their seat like they just crapped their pants on that one.

Wait a minute, Obama/Biden are the elitists?

The fashion experts at Vanity Fair estimated the value of Cindy McCain's outfit on Tuesday night to be in the range of $300,000. That's a lot of bling. So, what does $300,000 buy in America?

- An average American home ---- plus $80,000 in upgrades.

- Full, four year college tuition, plus room and board, for two students

- Nearly four times the average retirement savings for persons age 45 to 62.

- Roughly ten full-time community organizers working to make neighborhoods and America better.

- Ten full-time special needs caregivers for a year

- Twelve full-time maids for each of your seven homes.

- 6,000 hours of picking lettuce at $50 per hour

- 600 pairs of John McCain's $500 Italian loafers

And last, but not least.......

- One outfit for Cindy McCain to wear on national TV while she explains to America that John McCain and the Republicans understand their economic and social woes. Pffft.

That was money well spent! She looked like a cross between the mother on Bewitched and Ilsa, She-Wolf of the SS.
