Best:

Washington - he could have been king

Lincoln - he kept the country together albeit at great cost

FDR - Else we would be commies

Jefferson - foresight to claim the west

TR - put corporations in their place and conservation

Buchanan - Led up to the civil war

Grant/Harding/Nixon - most corrupt

Reagan - led to death of labor unions

Bush II - all time worst got us into unnecessary ill advised wars which killed our brave young men 100,000's of others and subverted the constitution worse than in 200 years all for nothing.

FDR's attempt to stack the supreme court is unforgivable--probably the most blatant attempted power grab in US history. Jimmy Carter probably isn't worse than any number of others like Harding, Coolidge, Pierce, Filmore. Just a more modern incarnation of bumbling idiocy followed up post-office with an almost Wilson-esque arrogance.
