Tokogirl Posted July 24, 2008 Share Posted July 24, 2008 As a former MSR employee it looks like the blue ice axe is a Thunderbird (may say on the axe)or as mentioned a later model Sumner. The adze and metal, not wood shaft, made these innovative. Larry P. sold the original Thunderbird for a whopping $11 or something close. They came in orange and that color of blue.
