Yeah. We see that this system is too not without its faults. Remember a certain oil company who was headed by a personal and professional enemy of Putin? Hmmm... as with everything moderation is the key.

There appears to be some uncertainty whether the Russian term limits law applies to total term limits or consecutive term limits. It may be possible that after pulling Medvedev's puppet strings these next couple of years Putin will decide to run for President again...

I'm not sure this country is really moving forward anymore. Total socialism is not the answer, but there are basic human needs like shelter, food, maybe include gas now, where gov't intervention might help.

 

Sorry, but our constitution provides for "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". The old Soviet constitution covered the shelter, food, and job things, I believe.

Chapter X, ARTICLE 118. Citizens of the U.S.S.R. have the right to work, that is, are guaranteed the right to employment and payment for their work in accordance With its quantity and quality.

 

I'll have to look for the food and shelter. I assume you're talking about in practice.
