I don't have the right Kev. That is the point.

Sorry you are willing to give up your civil liberties Scott, the rest of us aren't.

When one enlists in the military its a violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice to make disparaging or defamatory comments about ones superior officers--including the commander in chief (POTUS). While you may see it as "giving up civil liberties" others see it as something a bit more noble, like sacrificing themselves for the greater good.

Thank you for your service Scott. I may not agree with your perspective but I respect it.

I had the same thought; too bad others missed it (or don't understand it). Thank you, Mr. Harpell.

When was the last time "Chinas leader" used military nerve agent to kill his own people?

How would we win that war while Western Europe and Russia have such close ties with them?

You really have absolutely no idea what you are talking about Scott, do you? Just a puppet on a string.

The only thing that will let this war turn into "another Vietmam," is if you bitches elect Obama

If I don't vote for your candidate I'm a bitch?

I have it right you sad bunch of armchair quarterbacks.

Having opinions about the Iraq War makes you a sad armchair quarterback? Or only if the opinions disagree with yours, scott? Should americans just blindly follow their leaders without any skepticism or critical thinking?

how many of you have died while spraying socialist garbage on the internet?

...besides having a coronary eating pork rinds sitting at your cushy desk jobs all day

I don't eat pork rinds. And, I don't consider my opinions, or those of my friends, to be "socialist garbage." We may disagree, scott, but I'm an American as much as you are.

this post should win over the hearts and minds of the cc.com sprayers!!!

[if the cc.com sprayers had either hearts OR minds]

Why is it that the republicans and pro-war guys that spray on this site don't consider themselves sprayers? Who do you think you're fooling?

Scott: you yourself are a threat to these fucking losers. You have convictions and have acted on them. They don't and never will.

I don't have convictions? I haven't acted on them? Other anti-war citizens don't act on theirs? Am I a fucking loser because I am not joining the military to fight in a war I don't believe in? Am I a fucking loser because I disagree with the war and am doing what I can do bring it to an end, and elect leadership in line with my opinions? Yeah, you're right, me and my friends NEVER act on our convictions. "Your side" has the total monopoly on that.

I'm so sick of this whole "us and them" bullshit. I've tried to resist it, but clearly that's just the way it has to be, I guess. So fuck "you" guys. See you in November.

So, 1/2 of those quotes weren't even mine, I never said you hated America and... wow... you have amazingly thin skin.

Hugh, you go ahead and enlighten me. I am sure you will launch into a diatribe about "freeing tibet" and shit.

So Hugh, tell me why we should invade China then if that is what you are implying.

If you are not, you are obviously just trying to call me the same names you call everyone you feel a threat: puppet, neo-con, fascist, ect...

It is not my place to say what I think of the President.

I so disagree with you on this. You, me, us….we all have a place to call out our president’s bullshit. I hate the mfer…..but he is our president (even if he is the first president to be appointed). You have every right to hold him accountable for his actions. At least for now you still have the right to say what you will about anyone.

Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11. Iraq does not have WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION.

Taking out Sudam Hussein is one thing. But please do not infer that taking him out had or does have anything to do with 9/11 or out countries well being.

KEVDOUCHE: you DO understand that you are flipping shit to a guy who is serving his country and making huge sacrifices? While you OTOH are sucking bong hits and worrying about your buddies heinous 20+ foot fall, your interlocutor worries if his buddies will get blown to bits on their next operation? STFU for once.

Hey, I respect service. But does that mean I'm not allowed to give him shit, either? He's somehow immune from criticism now? Hell, I know lots of guys in the service -- some of them are fucking douchebags. Probably good in a fight, though.

He's a fucking citizen just like me. That's cool that he's joined up -- cheers mate. But do I have to suck his ass now?

I'm flipping him shit, too, KKKKKK. Why are you picking on KevDouche?

What's worse? An anti-war guy who refuses to join the army to fight in a war he disagrees with?

Or a pro-war guy who tells everyone how they're shits for not supporting the war, but refuses to join up himself?

Which one is not "acting on their convictions," hmmm??

He took a solemn vow to put your rights over his life. That is not at all absurd.

The oath of service is completely and utterly unrelated to the reasons why service members find themselves in Iraq. Just because soldiers swear to protect the constitution doesn't mean that everything the military/ CIC orders them to do is related to that end. You can understand that distinction, right?

I feel sorry for Scott for blindly following leaders instead of questioning authority.

how do you know he hasn't questioned authority. maybe he has and found that his answers line up w/ the authorities.

the same can be said about you not questioning the 'anti-war authorities'. you think your side can be the only one that has any individual thoughts or actions, yet you all sound the same.

When soldiers start questioning authority, that's the day we turn into the French.

Absolutely he should be blindly following his leader's (legal) orders. Like a fucking robot, I hope.

Read:

GWB. When McCain is elected, I will do my job the same as I have under GWB. The only thing I can do is train myself all day everyday to be the best I can to do what my country wills me to do. Scott 6/4/08

yes, he is choosing to continue doing that based on his personal question and answer sessions. can you take a big reach and open your mind that even right wingers think about things even if they don't come up with the same answers you do.
