Lazyboy
Is anyone going to see Phil Donahue's movie "Body of War"? He has footage in there about Senator Byrd's opposition to the war. I don't know if he includes anything about Senator Murray's vote against the war resolution but she voted against it. She made a great speech on the senate floor explaining why she was voting against it and in the speech predicted many of the problems we ran into there. It is too bad more people did not listen to her. Link to Senator Murray's Speech
Fairweather
Lemme guess: You work on her staff or for her campaign? The "mom in tennis shoes" is, by all accounts, a mental lightweight. I'm no lover of Democrats, but at least Maria Cantwell actually works hard to represent her state in Washington D.C. I'm not sure exactly what the vacuous Ms. Murray does. Doug
So can this film actually be taken seriously? I mean, it was made by Phil Donahue and he is liberal isn't he? Doesn't that mean that he not only has no clue what is good for America, he outright hates America and wants the terrorists to win? Just like maybe Patty Murray and her staff? KkK, is there anyone in congress or the senate who doesn't have their speeches and position papers prepared by staff? So the republicans are losing their war in Iraq because of all the negative vibes emanated by the people that foretold the obvious. That is pretty airy fairy for a staunch whatever you are. That is pretty airy fairy for a staunch whatever you are. Man, you are dense. He seems right on the money to me. There's a difference between 'predicting the obvious outcome' of a stupid fucking project and 'rooting for failure' of a worthy endeavor. But, really, this is a one sided spat. I mean, who is arguing that Iraq was a good idea at this point? Edited April 18, 2008 by tvashtarkatena
