WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

nation.needs, welcome to town. this time of year can be particularly bad for driving...especially if we have a light frost like we did last week that ends up delaying schools and bringing perfectly clear highways to a standstill.

today was nice at least - wish i could've gotten out climbing.

Kat, ain't you down with OPB?

that's oregon public broadcasting...i think those stickers are required in this state on any Volvo that's more than 5 years old. The DMV probably sends them with your registration tags.

Mr. Commander,

I had no idea you were such a sophisticate. Are you sure you correctly displayed your PCness on your MV for the metermaid at Taco Bell?

I thought it rude to flaunt my clear intellectual superiority. Besides, I'm quite sure it would be lost on the peasants at taco bell. I'm sure when they hear "Frontline" they think of flea repellent, and not the emmy-winning television series. Which I watch.

Also I do not own a 240DL so it would not have quite the desired effectiveness.

C. Commander, esq.

I got a ticket at Taco Bell once. It was on Capital Hill in Seattle, and I went across the street to Vivace coffee. And then I ran into Kevin Newell, he was ALWAYS in there diggin the ladies. Though, the ladies were diggin me that morning, I got told by a hot gal that my sweater looked amazing on me. When my coffee was being prepared I was checking out the book shelf and decided to take the "Yosemite Big Walls" book. When I went across the street, I gotta fatty $65 ticket. It's okay, I didn't pay it, I just sold the piece of crap car instead.

Ugh, I feel your pain. I made it clear to the Taco Bell employee how many chalupa sales she cost the company that day, and that it was bad business to make me upset with them. This did not have the effect I intended.

Don't they know who you are? They don't call you the Chalupa King of Portland for nothing. I hope you made it clear to the peasant by yelling "Don't you know who I am!!" "I own this town!", that would have made the most positive impression.

If you, yourself, drove a towtruck, they would have left you alone. When the hyenas are circling the waterhole, the wildebeeste panic but the elephant is serene. Live and learn.
