Jr. Team Assistant Coach

 

Description: Stone Gardens Junior Climbing Team is an ongoing program for climbers ages 9-19. The coach's focus will be on improving the climber's technique, fitness, confidence and overall performance in preparation for the seasonal USA Climbing competitions.

 

Primary Duties and responsibilities:

 

Passion for climbing and be willing to share it with others.

Maintain a safe and fun learning environment.

Help run age-appropriate activities that motivate and engage kids to facilitate personal growth.

Basic computer skills.

Strong leader and communicator.

Create and implement team workouts.

Instill good climbing values and safety.

Provide moral, emotional and physical support to team members.

 

Qualifications: Preference given to those with experience working with children, coaching experience, competition climbing experience and current CPR/First Aid training. Applicants must be over 18 and are subject to Washington State Patrol background check.

 

DATES & TIMES: Must be available Tuesday & Thursday 3:45p - 7:15p from September - July. Applicant must be willing to attend competitions in the state and out of state.
