"To see his image and the beautiful feelings it has created during my lifetime cheapened by base advertising ... is very disappointing to me," Flea

Forgetting $$$$, who would you have wanted caring for your musical legacy if you were Jimi: 1)Family or 2)or dedicated fans ?

White collared conservative flashing down the street,

Pointing their plastic finger at me.

They're hoping soon my kind will drop and die,

But I'm gonna wave my freak flag high, high.

Wave on, wave on

Fall mountains, just don't fall on me

Go ahead on Mr. Business man, you can't dress like me.

Sing on Brother, play on drummer.

Yeah, I'm sure Jimi would have really been behind those "products" himself...

It is lame, but Hendrix (the god that he is) does not own the word Experienced.

But this isn't the first time:

The name and image of Hendrix, who died in 1970 following a drug overdose in London, have been licensed to many companies for products including baby clothing, an air freshener, a lava lamp and a Christmas ornament.

Bummer all around.
