WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Banff, Lake Louise -- September

Recommended Posts

Howdy all...

I'm heading off to Banff and anything else nearby for the month of September. Never been before, and I'm pretty excited to have a nice chunk of time to play with.

Anybody have any must-dos, or must-visits, or must-drinks, or general tips and tidbits to share? Mmmm, Canada...

Dude, was just through there with coondog. You must check out Yamanuska (canmore area - Bow Valley Rock guide book). It looks like there are some nice 10-11 pitch walls there. The weather didn't cooperative, so we only got 1 day of climbing above Lake Louise.

There's free camping at Yamanusaka but you must pay in Banff.

Have fun, it is a beautiful area.
