WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Beacon will be good Thursday - Monday...Who's in?

Dress warm - like two layers of something warm for your legs, three layers on top, fingerless gloves (I have a spare pair) and a good hat of some sort. I have plenty of heat packs for all...

It is going to be 'cold to the bone'! Yeah, Hardman style! Thanks for the clothing tips. I have a hot date with my climbing gear tonight. Get to sort through and organize :) ooh la la.

Oh, and I guess that's your way of saying you can't make it?

Hey ken....great meeting you and climbing on the same rock. Perfect weather and perfect rock and good company make for a great day out. Thanks

Oh, yeah, sorry - I can't make it. But I did have a great time climbing with you yet again. Have a good time tomorrow. Kevin, good to see you, Jen, Larry, and Ben out as well. Kudos to Ben and Larry for doing the much belated clean-up job...

Yeah, good times out there yesterday. I bet today was another glorious one. Today tried to find ice in the gorge.... uh, something climbable. No luck. Although... we did... :snugtop: :snugtop: :brew::wazup: (pictorial interpretation stolen from Cobra_Commander)

*Kevbone: I know what you are wondering. And the answer was with the father of my baby ;)

I had a great day yesterday. I was out there all 3 days this weekend. The best day was Saturday with no wind.

I met John Ernster the Ranger. He seems like a genuinely nice guy.

I look forward to the next sun break. Keep us posted Joseph!

And thanks for the workout (I am so out of shape!).

Supposed to be raining, but you never know and one could still aid through that if you were equipped. We could warm up aiding up and checking on the state of the two angles at the top of Stone Rodeo (probably pretty sad I'm guessing).

Thursday is supposed to be sunny and 50 degrees - may have to play hooky...

Shuts down Feb 1st...

Well I a coming out tomorrow morning period.

I need the workout! I think I lost 5 lbs last weekend, and I feel great. No need to fall back into the burgrs and couch phenomina that always hits me in the winter.

Ken....just a sugestion. You could aid Freeforsome with ease....solo. Its easy to make an anchor and there is a halfway anchor to bail if the weather gets bad. Just a thought. Have fun.

climbed the corner w/ ken 2day - very sporty conditions - sopping wet and raining towards evening - we did it mostly as aid - broke a big foothold just below the crux of the money pitch - seeing jim n' jon completed the gonzo-style of the ascent
