      WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

      We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

best of cc.com TAUNTAUNS - WORTH THE WEIGHT????

Recommended Posts

Girl, you gonna have to head South 10 hours to see me!

It's much more than 10 hours from Eugene to Flag, even if you drive like Muffy. Or even Snowbyrd for that matter. Anyone hear from her since she went to Iraq? I hope she's doing well.

I had no idea she was in IRAQ :o

Heres sending love to snowbyrd. I hope she's home for the holidays!

People are jumpin' off lifts and schuss-booming on 18" of base at A-Basin at this very moment.

I can see 'em with my Simon Bar Sinister telescope.

Boga = Aid.

Tauntauns = Fair Means.

How so? Please to explain your logic.

Have you seen how hard a Boga sends? They scale vert like none other. Tauntauns are not inclined for vertical travel, just the approach. Therefore a tauntaun, if used for an approach, is no different than taking a snowmobile.

I see. I did not look at it that way. You are clearly well-versed in this lore. :nurd:

But the benefit is you need only wait for a downpour. Then you don't have to "pack it out." :)
