tanstaafl
I'm heading to SLC for some ice climbing the week between Christmas and New Years, and am looking for cheap hotel recommendations, especially with kitchenette, although just ones where you can get away with using a Coleman stove work too. Anybody? thanks.

tanstaafl
Dude, have you *been* to JRat's place? It's the size of a shoebox. Although I am emailing him to ask for recommendations as well. How you been buddy?
rbw1966
I forgot Jrat moved. I'll be in winthrop while you're in SLC. Then I am off to sunny Oklahoma City for 3 weeks for work. Kill me now.
ketch
If you don't find a place on this board try couchsurfing. I did a road trip recently using there services and had a great time. sort of a "turn about is fair play" arrangment.
catbirdseat
Look up Dave (Thinker). I am pretty sure he still lives in Salt Lake.
tanstaafl
Thanks everyone for PMs and suggestions. Found a decent-looking hostel for a price that even I think is good.
Thinker
Dig me up if you need anything while you're in SLC. If you're housebroken and know someone I know (or someone who knows someone I know) who can vouch for you I'd consider letting you pitch camp in the basement and use the kitchen. high_on_rock
Nice find, I just checked out the couchsurfing.com and that is a cool idea. Perhaps cc.com should start a couchsurfing forum among members? Cool idea, may get me some showers when I head to red rocks.
