For Sale: Ortovox M2 Avalanche Beacon

Plinko

Recommended Posts

This thing is BRAND NEW and unused, in retail packaging. I picked up one too many at a summer sale, so this one needs to find a new home.

It’s better for multiple burials in which each beacon stays on as it is found, since you can hear the different beacons.

Longest range of any beacon on the market! (twice the distance of Tracker and Mammut).

The #1 Beacon used by ski patrollers and guides worldwide.

Ortovox M2 Avalanche Transceiver

• Range up to 80m with digital/analog technology.

• Shorter search time through microprocessor control.

• Fool-proof on/off switch integrated into body belt.

• Fail safe switch over to receive mode saves time.

• Safe search for multiple victims by signal isolation.

• Five year warranty.

Retail is $309. Asking $270

First off..... the M2 beacon is old technlogy today. It doesn't have the longest range not even close. Beacons like the Pieps DPS have a much longer ranger. You should check out your information before posting it, and get it right.

Lastly most guides and ski patrollers use either the Barryvox or Pieps DPS

If, by "old technlogy" you mean a single antenna, then yes, it might qualify. However, if you read up, you'll find it blows the Barryvox and BCA Tracker outta the water with about twice the range. All previously stated claims remain. You should check out your information before posting it, and get it right. Lastly, have you met every guide around the world?

Ditto on that one.

The M2 is great, I used it for a while, and felt it was comfortable to wear.

Yeah I have 2 new Pieps that I just added to my quiver....but the M2 is my 1st choice.

When I was at work finding "victims" in 30 seconds, there were guys with "better", more "longer range" beacons, and couldn't find anything within minutes if it wasn't for the avi mutts.

It's just like the GPS generation......some can't read a compass for their lives.

Hey PLINKO.....Get out of my moms bed will ya.
