mwills Posted June 12, 2002 Share Posted June 12, 2002 did the south route on 6/2 and had to park 5 miles below cold springs. however, i wouldn't be suprised if it is opend up to morrison creek by now with the warmer weather. cold springs probably has a couple more weeks. jules Posted June 12, 2002 Share Posted June 12, 2002 Talked to a ranger at Trout Lake yesterday: gate will be up on South Spur road 3 miles from Cold Springs till probably the weekend of July 4th. Right now you have to park 3.5 miles from Cold Springs. Â Marblemount snowpark closes this Saturday. They started plowing the road to Climbers' Bivouac Monday. doubletall Posted June 18, 2002 Share Posted June 18, 2002 We parked next to the outhouse at Morrison Creek on Friday the 14th. We passed 10 to 15 cars that didn't take a chance at the few snow patches that blocked the road. When we left saturday afternoon the snow we had to plow through friday was gone.
