We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Muir snow report?

Recommended Posts

Wednesday was a good day for being up on the mountain, but the skiing was not all that great

Parts of Pan Point were melted out, and above Pebble Creek there were spots we had to boot up, just not enough snow.

Good turns from 8K down to 7K

We were up there on Sunday and the snowfield was frozen solid all day long. Wind was blowing and air temps were low preventing the snow from softening. Pretty lame skiing, but a beautiful clear day on the mountain.

was up on Saturday...

skiing the snowfield itself was excellent.

we had to remove skis once to reach pebble creek and then 3 more times to reach the trail down from pan point. once down from pan point, we were able to connect a long strip on skiers right to just above alta vista. from there, things got a little too thin to make it to the parking lot.
