WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

And the source of some great song lyrics, just like killing your lover:

Southern trees bear a strange fruit,

blood on the leaves and blood at the root,

black bodies swinging in the Southern breeze,

strange fruit hanging from the poplar trees.

Pastoral scene of the gallant South,

the bulging eyes and the twisted mouth,

scent of magnolia, sweet and fresh,

then the sudden smell of burning flesh.

Here is a fruit for the crows to pluck,

for the rain to gather, for the wind to suck,

for the sun to rot, for a tree to drop,

here is a strange and bitter crop.

That one woman may be "a-head", but the stats on violence against women shows a very different, very sad picture overall.

Hey Joe:

Hey Joe, where you goin' with that gun in your hand

Hey Joe, I said where you goin' with that gun in your hand

I'm going down to shoot my old lady

You know, I've caught her messin' around with another man

I'm going down to shoot my old lady

You know, I've caught her messin' around with another man

And that ain't too cool

Hey Joe, I've heard you shot your woman down,

shot her down, now

I said I've heard you shot your old lady down,

You shot her down to the ground

Yes I did, I shot her

You know, I caught her messin' round, messin' round town

Yes I did, I shot her

You know, I caught my old lady messin' around town

And I gave her the gun

I SHOT HER!

Hey Joe, alright

Shoot her one more time, baby

Hey Joe, said now

Where you gonna run to now?

Where you gonna run to?

Hey Joe, I said where you gonna run to now?

Where you, where you gonna go?

Well, dig it

I'm goin' way down south,

Way down to Mexico way

Alright!

I'm goin' way down south,

Way down where I can be free

Ain't no one gonna find me

Ain't no hangman gonna,

He ain't gonna put a rope around me

You better believe it right now

I gotta go now

Hey Joe, you better run on down

Good by everybody

Hey Joe, uhh

Run on down

Be on my side,

I'll be on your side,

baby

There is no reason

for you to hide

It's so hard for me

staying here all alone

When you could be

taking me for a ride.

Yeah, she could drag me

over the rainbow,

send me away

Down by the river

I shot my baby

Down by the river,

Dead, oh, shot her dead.

You take my hand,

I'll take your hand

Together we may get away

This much madness

is too much sorrow

It's impossible

to make it today.

Yeah, she could drag me

over the rainbow,

send me away

Down by the river

I shot my baby

Down by the river,

Dead, oh, shot her dead.

Be on my side,

I'll be on your side,

baby

There is no reason

for you to hide

It's so hard for me

staying here all alone

When you could be

taking me for a ride.

Yeah, she could drag me

over the rainbow,

send me away

Down by the river

I shot my baby

Down by the river,

Dead, oh, shot her dead.

So he/she raped him/her and killed him/her, and then he/she buried his/her bones. Excitable boy/girl they all said. Happy now?

So at what point does this get considered "insensitiviso"?

Is it only after this type of shit gets said about any group other than females?

imagined violence substitutes for real violence - the male solution to most problems is smash problem - the sensitivo world strips us of this possibilty so we must find escape in bullshit'n
