sobo Posted June 9, 2006 Share Posted June 9, 2006 I'm not sure what the threshold is (6mm?) but my Jumars hold better on thinner rope than my Tibloc. Tiblocs are designed for cords of 8 mm to 11 mm (inclusive) in diameter, according to the literature included with the device. It is also inscribed upon the device itself (at least mine is). According to the source linked in my previous post, Jumars are designed to operate on cords of between 6 mm and 14 mm (inclusive) in diameter.
