slamole
Anyone been up to Ruth Mtn or know the general conditions on the glacier for a ski descent? Sounds like there are few crevasses... Still safe after all this meltout? Thanks for your comments. Nate
Ponzini
I saw Ruth from a distence on Sunday, it looked very snowy, from being there in summer I wouldn't anticipate any crevasse problems on skis. You may have to walk the trail for a ways as it faces south and could be melted out...
skykilo
Depending on whether there's enough snow left, it may be a good idea to leave the trail and follow the drainage when the trail begins to ascend. We descended that way very conveniently in April 2004.
