Stinkydog
I'm looking for a 40L (roughly) pack for general winter mountaineering - with enough gadgets/gizmos to hold skis/snowshoes/poles, a shovel, etc. Only problem, I need something that will fit a tall (22 inch +) torso. Haven't been able to find the right one yet - either they're meant for shorter people, or don't have enough external strappage, etc. Any suggestions? denningsrogue
Try the cilogear 40 liter worksack. For information try www.cilogear.com, search the archives here and google cilogear. Rockclimbing.com also has a review. I just ordered one. Corresponded with the owner and found him very helpful and responsive. johndavidjr
MEC Brio. It deserves to be much more popular. Excellent price too. Edited May 15, 2006 by johndavidjr
billbob
Hey, am 6'6" and looked hard for good pack that size. Pretty happy w/ Mystery Ranch in Bozeman, they make packs for US Special Forces. A bit heavy but oh so tough. Semi-custom sizing, give em a call.
