AlpineK
Skied up to the NE ridge of Chair and yoyoed the slopes above Source lake. 2' of nice powder. It sucked breaking trail from the car, but it ruled when we skied it. Avy conditions seemed safe enough when we were there.

AlpineK
So I went up towards Chair peak basin with my friend C on wednesday. Once we got up to Source lake my friend C and I rapidly started scaling back our goals. We skied up to just below the upper basin on Chair and skied down. I managed to set off some small slabs with a 1' crown (these were on short steep sections and not to be confused with a real avalanches). We decided that the only slopes we really wanted to ski were going to slide and so we headed back to the car. I should add I went to Crystal today and it fuckin ruled!!!! Lots of light pow, plenty of face shots, and nobody on the mountain. Brain Damage is starting to get fat. So if you want to be a hero and tell everyone you skied off the N Face of the King this is a good year for that. Also to any of you backcountry types that are too cool to ski at areas. Your all a bunch of suckers!
