We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Mountain Shop's Tele Tuesdays

Recommended Posts

Join The Mountain Shop, Friends of the Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center, Wy'east Nordic and Industry Reps in celebrating tele skiing! We will be up at Mount Hood Ski Bowl on February 7th and March 7th in the evening from 5pm-9pm. The festivities include demos, clinics and races.

The fee for the demo is $10. We will have skis from Black Diamond, Karhu, G3, Atomic, K2 and Voile available to test. Store staff and product representatives will be available to answer any questions and offer recommendations.

The clinics, taught by the excellent instructors at Wy'East Nordic, will start around 7pm. Depending on demand we will have different skill levels from first timers to salty dogs. Cost for the clinics will run $20. If you would like to demo gear in addition to the clinics, the price is $25.

Our race series continues with the Freeskiing contest on February 7th and the Slalom on March 7th (conditions permiting). The races will be starting at 7pm, and cost $15 per event. The uphill/downhill race took place January 10th, and was an exciting event with a handfull of participants braving rain and a power outage to climb up to the upper bowl and race back to the bar. Don't miss the rest of the events. Prizes will be awarded for First, Second, and Third in both Men's and Women's division.

The Tele Tuesday events benefit the Friends of the Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center. All demo and clinic fees will be donated to efforts to keep the NWAC a valuable resource for Oregon and Washington skiers and climbers. We will also have a party with raffle prizes after the event!

If you have any questions, please call the Mountain Shop at 503-288-6768. You can also direct any general questions toward this thread.

We'll see you up there!
