I finally got a couple of shots of a cool way one business here in SLC has reused some industrial byproduct. It got me thinking about other examples I've seen in the outdoor industry.

One that comes to mind is the climbing gym in Idaho Falls that is (or was, at least, about 6 years ago) using excess parts of TEVA soles all over the floor to cushion falls (much like the gravel in the local seattle gyms).

 

Something about turning climbing ropes into rugs and floor mats strikes me as 'wrong', though.

 

What other examples have YOU seen?
