Chad_A
The NOMIC! Hadn't heard about this before. Not that I'm in the market for something like this right now, but damn, looks sweet. On this page, there's a performer doing a juggling act with them. A bit strange, but cool. http://www.petzl.com/petzl/SportNews?Mot...ws=121#imaginer
sweatinoutliquor
Did you watch the video with Malo Leroy juggling with them? Pretty interesting, though I'm not sure how much all of that relates to climbing!
NYC007
its going to take the Ergos place.
kioti
The tool feels awesome, Though I haven't had the chance to sink the picks, yet.
Dru
its going to take the Ergos place. These are more of a leashless "ice" tool whereas the ergo is a leashless "dry" tool.
DanielHarro
those things look awsome, they are lighter than the ergos too!! Any stores have them in pdx yet?
AFIVE
The first availablity of them is November 1st! Shops that wrote orders for them at the Summer Outdoor Retailer show last August will get them in November. Shops that didn't write orders at the show have to wait until 2006 to get them. U.S. Outdoor has one pair comming in in November.
Jedi
I was lined up for a pair but the lack of a hammer has been leaning towards a used pair of Ergo's and a pair of Vipers or Quarks. Anyone have any for sale?? The Nomics are sexy without a doubt. Jedi
kurthicks
Ergo + Nomics = ergonomics those Petzl people were thinkin.

Dru
You can tell Nomics are primarily intended for ice cause it sounds like "no-mixed"
AFIVE
Petzl USA says it's available November 20th.
featheredfriends
To set the record straight, the Nomic is NOT a replacement for the Ergo. Petzl Charlet will continue to make both tools for the foreseeable future. Feathered Friends will be one of the first recipients of the Nomics, so if you want a pair, give us a call. Once these sell, they won't be available again until spring. We didn't order many, so the motivated climber gets the tools. 206-292-2210.
