We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

There is something special about the Himalyas that speaks of adventure, of mystical religions, exotic peoples, and the power of the mountains. With nearly 100 trips in the Himalayas over 14 years, expert guide, Cathy Ann Taylor, will take you on a visual journey through the picturesque Kingdom of Bhutan, an amazing country of serene forested valleys, magnificent castle-like monasteries, commanding mountain views, and culture that is unchanged over the centuries. Travel to Bhutan is an opportunity not to be missed for those seeking a rare glimpse of a different world quite unlike our own. Mountain Travel Sobek has pioneered trekking in the Himalayas since the late 1960’s and were the first to operate trips in Bhutan. Join us as we step back in time on this enriching look at trekking the hidden mountain Kingdom of Bhutan.
