Extreme Alpinism: Twight

Couloir

Recommended Posts

Just picked up this book. A pretty good read so far. He has a lot of good insight into climbing smarter, ligher, faster...the whole deal. And rebukes many myths that seem to circulate pretty heavily in this world. And the pictures are incredible! I'm sure the people close to him, and those that have also climbed with him have their personal opinions about the guy, but he definitely has the huevos where some of those pictures are taken. Good stuff! thumbs_up.gif

“The goal of physical training for alpine climbing can be summed up in one phrase: to make yourself as indestructable as possible. The harder you are to kill, the longer you will last in the mountains.”

useful when trying to decide if you really need to go running tonight.
