WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Alpiners Anonymous: PDX dry tool night

Recommended Posts

I was planning on trying to go out tuesday and wednesday both. Still probably go on wednesday, but climbed a lot harder at the gym today than I had originally anticipated, so I'll have to see how I'm feeling tomorrow (though, admittedly, that's never really stopped me before wink.gif ).

Do I detect thread drift? WTF? I thought this was a dry tool thread!

I'm probably out this week--I aggravated a foot injury last week and wanna take it easy.

Uhhh, Sorry Dude, now don't go stealing my lines. I've been using that one since last October.

BTW, learning pre-climb warm up and tape ritual. Post climb ice and ibuprofen washed down with wine for relaxation effect.

There will probably be at least two of us there, around 5:30ish (though I can be there earlier if you're so inclined).

Glad to hear it, Bill! If you feel particularly curious, I can even explain the convoluted knot analysis I posted to rc.com. wink.gif

I'm assuming Bill will show up around 5:45-6:00. I'll probably be there around 5:30ish or so, depending on when I decide to leave and how bad traffic is. =)

Didn't see you folks. Went bouldering on top and got a pump before the clock struck 7pm.

Hmm. I had a fixed line on easy street's approach chimney. Went wandering down at the base of toothpick to check out routes. I didn't see your note until around 6:30-6:45 or so, but couldn't find you up at the top. frown.gif

Sorry - didn't see your rope. My cell phone # is 503-869-5772, maybe we can ring each other as opposed to wandering like lost Jews in the Desert for 40 years? grin.gif

Sweet. I'll be there around 4:30 or before. I'll probably wander around toothpick or breakfast cracks, but I won't rap down in case you miss my fixed line. wink.gif
