Today: Rain or snow developing. Snow level 2500 feet...with accumulations of 6 to 11 inches above 3500 feet. Afternoon pass temperatures 30 to 35. Light wind in the passes becoming west 5 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

 

Tonight: Showers...decreasing after midnight. Snow level falling to 1000 feet...with little additional accumulation. West wind in the passes 10 to 20 mph.

 

Sunday: Mostly cloudy. A chance of snow showers. Afternoon pass temperatures 25 to 30. West wind in the passes 5 to 15 mph.

 

Sunday night: Rain or snow likely. Snow level 1500 feet...with accumulations of 2 to 5 inches light wind in the passes..

 

Monday: Mostly cloudy. A chance of rain or snow. Snow level 2000 feet. Afternoon pass temperatures near 30. East wind in the passes 5 to 15 mph.

 

Monday night: Rain or snow likely...and becoming windy. Snow level 3000 feet.

 

Tuesday: Windy with rain or snow likely. Snow level 3500 feet ..

 

Tuesday night: Rain or snow likely. Snow level 3000 feet.

 

Wednesday: Rain or snow likely. Snow level 3500 feet.

 

Wednesday night: Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers. Snow level 3500 feet.

 

Thursday: Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers. Snow level rising to 5000 feet.

 

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy. A chance of rain. Snow level rising to 7500 feet.

 

Friday: Rain likely. Snow level rising to 9000 feet.

 

Let's hope that the last line is wrong.

I never bet the rent on forecasts more than 24 hours out, especially in Washington in the winter. Not a high enough degree of probability for me.

In the past 17 years in the ski industry we opened after New Year's once, opened on Veterans Day once, with all other years somewhere in between. So...it's unlikely that we won't have significant snowfall for a bit, but it's entirely possible.
