AcerView 76i It has been spontaneously crashing and then flickering back on once or twice a day, for the last 6 months. Now it won't come back on. Bogen Posted October 27, 2004 Share Posted October 27, 2004 The boards on those run a little hotter than some, resulting in ring cracks in the solder joints and dried out electrolytics. This causes the intermittent problems, til' something more critical pops. If you can easily afford it, replace it. If you want me to rebuild it, I will. I had a woman once whose tv had been acting up but started working better after she accidentally dribbled water in it. A few weeks later it started acting up again, guess what she did. What a joke!
