you mean this one?

http://www.mtbaker.us/

I think it looks pretty nice. I'm not gung ho about the drop down menus, but all the important info is only a click or two from the main page. Granted I haven't actually used it to find anything I needed, but first impressions are good. What do you think sucks about it?

Added: ah, now I see.. many of the links in the navigation bar don't work

They fail to recognize how the website is an all year round medium for promotion. They de-activate parts of it for the summer when there is no need to do so. As long as they just show dates for things, it could still provide entertainment.

Basically, their marketing is pretty feeble. Most of it goes into the Banked Slalom snowboard event, and the rest flounders.

they need to hire that one guy who draws virtually every ski area map in the world. don't know who it is, but it has to be one guy cause every ski area looks the same on those things

Speaking of that, why is that all of the Mt Hood areas have crappy online trail maps?

You mean this guy

I think they have used him for their maps. The one on file at skimaps.com is one of his ( http://www.skimaps.com/map1643 ). Though that one is old, I think the newer ones still probably use the same artwork since they haven't changed the lifts (except replaciing 4 & 5 with one lift).

Surely someone has a pirate treasure map of that place scribbled down somewhere. Maybe a skull and crossbones near where the boarders come barreling in from the kicker run from norman's in the twilight.

The Alpine Trail? I thought the treasure was closer to the Mazama's lodge.
