flatnose Posted July 15, 2004 Share Posted July 15, 2004 I'm in the market for a 2 man single wall tent and have been comparing different brands. I was wondering if anyone has any personal experience with SW tents in more extreme settings (Alaska, S. America, etc.) and how they hold up in high winds and bad weather. lost_arrow Posted July 15, 2004 Share Posted July 15, 2004 i used one a few years back in s america for a few months. three trips with one. cant remember the style or name / two person. three poles? i was always scared that we would rip a huge hole in it - the fabric is super thin. i know thats the point due to the weight. but i was never that comfertable with it in the bigger storms. and shovelling it out in the middle of the night.
