We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Edgeworks Climbing Gym will be Tacoma’s first climbing gym and will serve as southern Puget Sounds’ destination for indoor climbing, youth and adult events/competitions, a unique alternative for fitness training and a community destination for group events and parties.

The new 10,000 square foot location will serve climbers, active adults and youth throughout the region with facilities that will include:

 • 9,500 square feet of vertical climbing surface area

 • 2nd floor viewing area with lounge/party facilities

 • Conference room for group meetings, events and presentations

 • Fitness Studio

 • Pro-Shop

 • Men’s and Women’s Locker Rooms

 • Plenty of free parking

 • Easy access from Highway 16 and I-5

The highlight of Edgeworks Climbing Gym will be its climbing facilities consisting of:

 • 6,000 square feet of top-rope and lead climbing – including:

o A 25’ tall freestanding pillar with a bouldering archway

o Over 40 top-rope and lead climbing stations

   o 35’ lead routes

 • 3,500 square feet of bouldering – including:

o “Top-out” bouldering with a walk off to the 2nd floor lounge

“The Tacoma and South Sound region has been long overdue for a high quality indoor climbing gym and gathering place for the climbing community,” said founder Tod Bloxham. “We plan filling that need with an innovative and exciting indoor climbing gym for climbers of all ages and abilities to challenge and enjoy themselves. Edgeworks Climbing Gym’s walls and facilities will help introduce new climbers to the sport and to push the limits of the climbing elite.”
