All rock is comprised of minerals which in turn are comprised of elements. What did you think granite wasn't made of minerals but some other thing in nature? Rock = mineral compounds = amalgamation of elements. That is why there is such a thing as a true granite and then just a granodiorite. Go ahead. Argue semantics with me. See if I care.
