WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Can't exaggerate a death (though I wouldn't be surprised) but sure can exaggerate the rumors of said death (as in Mark Twain's case).

To the tune of God Bless America:

"God Bless Ottera"

God Bless Ottera

Otter that I love

Stand beside otter, and guide otter

Thru the night with a light from otter.

From the otters, to the noddders ,

To the naughter, white with steaksauce

God bless ottera

My otter sweet otter.

*steaksauce 's favorite response to any question was to lift one of his fingers. His little boy attendant imitated him, and whenever the boy was asked by strangers as to the teachings of his *steaksauce he would lift his finger. Learning of this, the *steaksauce one day called the boy in and cut off his finger. The boy in fright and pain tried to run away, but was called back, when the *steaksauce held up his finger. The boy tried to imitate the *steaksauce, as was his wont, but the finger was no more there, and suddenly the signifigance of it all dawned on him. Copying is slavery. The letter must never be followed, only the spirit is to be grasped. Higher affirmations live in the spirit. And where is the spirit? Seek it in your everyday experience, and therein lies abundance of proof for all you need.

Educational or not, *steaksauce is a bastard.
