ADKMan
Can someone give me an update on the proposed changes to guiding regulations. I am from New York and planning a guided trip in June / July and was wondering if I should wait to book a guide service or will the proposed changes not effect my planning. I was following this issue up until about a month ago and have not heard much about it since.
catbirdseat
Save your money for gear. Find someone from this site to take you up. That's what it's all about.
genepires
Call the company you were thinking of using. They should have the most updated info. Unless they lose all their user days, then your plans shouldn't change. If the company has a half way decent office, then they shouldn't book trips they can't offer. (unlike the airlines)
Rodchester
My understanding is that the actual changes will not take effect until NEXT year (guiding season 2005).
