Yes, unless you time the moon phases right and there's no clouds.

You'll have around 18 hours of sun above the horizon, probably 20+hrs of usable light, depending on the aspect of the mtn, cloud cover, etc.

One thing to keep in mind is that if you aren't using something like a Petzl Arctic where you can keep the battery inside your jacket, the batt life is going to be much reduced due to the cold.

20 hrs, eh. Guessing from 10:30pm to 2:30am when it is fully dark.

We will be on the western side of the mountain. Full moon will be April 5th and a new moon (no moonlight) is Apr 19th. Not is our favor frown.gif.

Good point about the batteries not lasting in the cold.

On May 1st I started the hike into the Kahiltna Glacier and took a headlamp, but never used it. We were moving during the daytime 8am-6pm and didn't do any moving\climbing at night. If you are planning some long pushes, I would take along at least a tika. I would also suggest getting the lithium-ion batteries. They are more pricey but have an operating temp down to -40 degrees. My CD player lasted 3-4 times longer on them in the cold vs standard batteries.
