jjd Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 Well, I can't actually call it a "trip report" considering we didn't go above Horse Camp. It is still too early in the season for climbing this route. I went up at the end of last week with a couple of buddies and got shut down. Two of us didn't have snowshoes (not too bright) so we just got bogged down with knee high post-holing. It didn't matter though because the wind blew all night, loading already unconsolidated and unstable southern aspects. Basically, the trip sucked. I'll be keeping my eyes open for a week long high pressure system in January/February to give it another shot. On the upside, it was nice to decompress a little after finals... whew! Skiing/boarding conditions are perfect right now for those who are interested. They have been getting new snow for the past couple of days and expect another 2-5 feet over the next couple of days.
