A bit frustrating to say the least, but I was able to ditch the buds for a bit and get some good scrambling in. There I am on this nice piece of rock called Fletcher Peak. A couple of probable 5.6 cruxes, but very short. Most of it was slabs that would be 5.6 if blank, but instead had cool cracks and tons of golfball sized crystals everywhichfuckingwhere. Awesome! Look at those other lines! Might be fun to bring a rope in there if it wasn't for the fact that there's tons of cool stuff up in Tuolumne that are not 8 miles from the road.
