But when I scan them and then save them to my computer, the file size is huge so I have to crop it completely in order to upload it to the gallery... Would someone who is more knowledgeable with computers please explain to me how to make them a smaller file size and thus circumvent this problem??!! Billygoat Posted October 9, 2003 Share Posted October 9, 2003 Yeah, Right click on the photo and then click "properties' and see if you can down size them to something like 640x480 instaed of something like 2300x 1560 or such. or just scan them at a lower resolution. Cpt.Caveman Posted October 9, 2003 Share Posted October 9, 2003 When using microshaft os  go to start run  Type in mspaint then select enter  Then file open - open your file  then to the image and sketch/skew  Specify size in percentage until it is smaller than or = to the necessary size. snoboy Posted October 9, 2003 Share Posted October 9, 2003 Try Irfanview , it's a great image utility that lets you resize and resample pics among other things.
