WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

I'm searching for a location on the west side of Rainier and/or the N. Cascades that provides a view of the mountain with a body of water-either lake or river- in the foreground. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. cool.gif

Actually I was imagining something bucolic. I should have said that in my original post. I'm looking for a view of mountains, not just Rainier, with some body of water-preferably a lake or river-in the foreground. I'm going to be driving up the Methow, across Washington Pass, down along the west side and then to the Olympics in search of a location. Thanks again for any help. grin.gif

Bucolic eh? OK college boy, are you looking for a place to shoot an SUV commercial or something? Cuz if you are.... you suck... and I want a finder's fee. Pay up and I'll tell you where this "ULTRASECRET" place is:

Ha, just goes to show what a GED can do for your vocabulary. Much prefer the 2nd pic: nature minus the ass crack. I will buy beers if I stop in Seattle. np. Prolly won't tho. Will be in Mazama/Twisp/Winthrop and then Pt. Angeles or the like. thumbs_up.gif

Thanks for the replies y'all. Never made it to Picture Lake as the body of water idea was scrapped. Found what we were looking for near Cle Elum. Was the first shot posted a view from W. Seattle btw?
