Eventually some notable local climbers greased City Park in response to an invasion of Colorado magazine idiots. Then a few years later came the Pig Riggers. The story goes like this. These guys were hanging out at Index in February drinking Schmidt. They ran into local burnout FG. F told them, "Hey man there's this hog's head in the town dump. It would be really cool if someone hung it from a route." ....So they did. After the first installation some bad people who hated the pig took it down. One of the riggers is reputed to have yelled at them, "I don't fuck with your rap placed bolts; why are you fucking with my lead placed pig." Anyway the tradition continued for 3 years.
