Dru Posted February 3, 2003 Share Posted February 3, 2003 It is more like April or May than early Feb. salbrecher, Fred T and I climbed Gate Mountain. This was a hiking and postholing trip. The view looked just like this: (blank nothingness). wE reached one of several summits and stefan and i restrained fred from continuing to tick all the other ones by the simple expedient of voting 2-1 that the summit we occupied, was the highest one. i think on a sunny day there are good views but all i saw was clouds, trees, frosted trees and ice feathers on trees. it snowed a tiny bit above 4500' but most of the snow was isothermal glop. since there is no winter and i have already climbed the rambles and marble canyon numerous times, all i can say is that its gonna be a long spring if it stays this wet.
