WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Hood accident lawsuit

Recommended Posts

We can’t seem to provide medical care without taking people’s homes in this country.  It’s probably early to be talking about complete coverage professional mountain rescue services.

if hurt on a public thoroughfare or on land owned/operated on by a business you have a reasonable expectation of rescue services being provided in a timely fashion - if hurt in a wilderness area, any assistance rendered, useful or not, is pure charity

not all of us can die smart... :brew:

People die on Hood EVERY year. People die climbing around the world every year. Every year a couple top level climbers, ski mountaineers, back country bad ass' die. We all know it's a possibility to make a mistake or have luck run out. We weigh the risk and reward and venture out, or not, knowing that the cost of failure can be tragically high. There is zero reason for this lawsuit but grief turned to greed.
