p_tapley
Looking for a pre-BD (or first couple of years) I tent...tunnel vent, removable screen. I sold one off a few years ago, and a recent freezing rain storm convinced me that there's a time and a place for the first light, but not everywhere. Cheers. dave schultz
I don't have one, sorry. But, I am curious. The First Light is the SAME geometry as the I-Tent, except the I-Tent is more durable material, correct? What about the I-Tent would be better in a freezing rain than the First Light, beyond simply a stronger fabric? Thanks for the enlightenment ... p_tapley
Hi Dave. The difference is that the I Tent uses a laminate fabric, vs microfiber. The old vs new is lighter. Another subtle difference is that the old I Tent has guy points on the side walls that significantly increases elbow room and rigidity in the wind. The short version is: ToddTex is far more weather resistant.
dave schultz
Got it, thanks. Is the overall weight of the older I-Tent lower than the First Light? They currently (or recently) made the I-Tent and the Elderado, both were essentially a more durable versions of the First Light and Lighthouse. Interesting to learn those subtle differences. Good luck finding one.
p_tapley
Lighter than the current I tent, not the first light.

Alex
I have an old ITent I might be willing to part with. I also have a near new 2-door Eldorado, but I am keeping that one. The ITent is a single door ITent, which I bought used late 90s. The door netting is somewhat busted but the door itself still works. The floor is pretty worked, but the walls are still good. Let me know if you are interested and I'll dig it out of storage.
