  1. Women's Patagonia Nylon Pants - They have a 2 position snap adjustment at the waist, 30" minimum or 32" maximum. Inseam is 30.5". Belt loops, no waist elastic. Legs roll up and secure with button and loop. Light weight 52% nylon, 48% polyester in tan. Zippered/buttoned hand pockets and a lower one close to the knee. Practically new, no wear or stains. Asking $26.00 shipped. PPFF or Venmo.
  2. I have a Bomb Shelter - used on one Denali trip and on a couple local ones. I managed to put a boot through the rear vestibule but repaired it correctly. That said, I feel like I should lower the price below where it ought to be - $400 seems fair. This is one of the definitive expedition tents at a great price. The other is an I-tent. Perfect condition as in no repairs, etc. $350 seems fair. Buyer pays shipping from Bozeman although I travel a bit so could arrange something. If you want more info or photos I prefer you to use: jdj at montana dot edu thanks
  3. Marmot Kompressor Star 28L for sale. Used for about 5 days, in almost new conditions!$65, pickup in downtown Seattle
  4. Introduced in 1979, The North Star is a 4 season, double wall dome designed with the features and strength needed for expedition and base camp in extreme conditions. It will accommodate 4 adults closely, 6 in an absolute pinch ..... with contortions. In addition to a zippered main entrance, the tent has double snow tunnels backed with bug netting that provide cross ventilation in the warmer months. The North Star is also a very pleasant tent for family camping. - Six equal length 183" shock corded Easton aluminum poles and 2 short aluminum awning supports. 3, 10" aluminum struts help to maintain the "dead air space" (separation) between the rainfly and canopy. - 1.9 ounce ripstop nylon canopy and full coverage rainfly. Polyurethane coated taffeta nylon floor, lower sidewalls, entrance panel and snow tunnels. - 10 additional guy line pullouts on the rainfly for high wind and snow load conditions. - Free standing. - Has 6 inside gear pockets. - Tunnel design cook/disposal hole built into the interior floor. - Seams on the floor and rainfly were not previously sealed. A blank slate for you to do the job. No old, flaking sealer to clean up. Total Weight is 13 pounds. 58.25 sq feet of interior floor space. 55" center height. ---------------- Condition: I have completed a thorough inspection throughout and would say the tent is in very good used condition. - The colors on the main canopy are bright with very little sun fading. - The outer rainfly is a TNF replacement and is in near new condition. - The poles are without splits or kinks and are not deformed beyond what is consistent with use and normal shaping to the dome curvature. - Zippers run smoothly. - A common issue in older tents is the deterioration of the polyurethane waterproof coating applied to the lower sidewalls, floor and rainfly. The coated areas are not sticky or to a lesser degree even tacky. The worst that can be said is that on hot days or in direct summer sun the coating softens. It is not peeling and continues to provide full waterproofing. Re-coating is unneeded at this time. There are no issues with the rainfly. ----------------- Restoration: The interior floor and the pole sleeves needed some minor repair to bring the tent completely up to snuff: 1) The floor was cleaned and inspected - Several tiny cooking spark holes, scuffs and abrasions were repaired with either dabs of Mcnett Seam Grip Sealer/Adhesive or the Sealer and nylon taffeta fabric in combination. Usage stains are well set and only minor effort was made at removal. 2) Threading poles through tent sleeves in high winds or darkness isn't ideal and is best done with 2 persons. Some fabric wear, nicks and several about 1/4" - 3/4" in length slits were solidly repaired with Seam Grip, light flat webbing and ripstop repair fabric on the inside and outside of the damage. Arguably strong as new and good to go. *As TNF cautions, a small measure of care is needed when threading poles through the sleeves of any tent with light weight fabric. To avoid damage, flex the poles as they are being threaded through the pole sleeves* 3) On the main entrance netting, a few tiny pulls were reinforced with dabs of Seam Grip. Netting is in mint condition at the tunnel entrances. 4) I sealed the floors main center cross seam a few days ago. --------------- The tent is entirely ready for use. Asking $975.00 plus shipping cost from 80517. Estes Park, CO inspection and pickup may be arranged if in the vicinity. http://oregonphotos.com/snow-camping.html#anchor165216 Photo's 7, 8 and 9 show repair patches applied to tiny spark holes on the tent floor. Photo's 10,11 and 12 show a typical pole sleeve damage and its repair. Will Steger 1985 North Pole Expedition. (From National Geographic, 1986)
  5. [SOLD] I have a Black Diamond Mega Light pyramid tent for sale. Makes a great 4 season shelter - used it for ski touring and spring mountaineering. It has been babied by an ultra-light gear head. This tent is unique in that it has been professionally modified by Jared at Simply Light Designs, an designer and sewer of products made of silnylon, to include Lineloc 3's at each perimeter tie-out (8) and mid-panel tie-out (8) at each seam. The tent has already been seam sealed. I will include 8 three-foot lengths of premium Lawson Glowire cordage. I have had it for two winter seasons and have used it around 20 times. Works great. There is one tiny patch, from a tiny 3mm slice made when cutting off the dang tags before it ever left my living room. The patch is made of tenacious tape and silicone that has been on the entire life of the tent and still holding strong. In all this tent is great - I've used it as a kitchen/lounge and sat 16 people inside comfortably. I've used it at basecamps on Mt. Baker, Mt. Adams, and Mt. Rainier for climbs. I like the design so much I've upgraded to a HMG Ultamid 4 pyramid tent, therefore will let this one go to one lucky buyer. I'd rather not sell the carbon fiber pole, but will if you insist. $225 Shipped, available for pickup in Seattle. Photos on craigslist, but will post on this thread soon: https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/spo/d/seattle-black-diamond-mega-light-tent/6924875039.html And, yeah, I'm that guy trying to sell something on his first post. Haha.

  22. Reduced to $125.00 - Gregory Cassin Internal Frame Pack - Cavernous 116 Liter Load Hauler - Large In 1977, Wayne Gregory with his newly founded company, applied innovative internal frame pack design concepts ...... the contoured profile, ergonomic hip belt, side zippers, taped seams and adjustable suspension ...... in the production of their backpacks. The Cassin was in production from 1987 through 1991 and was the predecessor to the Denali Pro. Up for sale is the final production model with 2 side entry zippers supplementing content access to this top loading, multiple day expedition class pack. The pack is in excellent, lightly used condition. There are no cuts, tears, abrasions, loose stitching or worn areas. The exception is the polyurethane fabric coating has deteriorated and is peeling in its entirety. It removes easily and rolls right up cleanly and without residue. As many of you are aware, a very common issue with coatings as they age. No worries though as a new Gregory pack rain cover comes with the purchase. When the old coating is removed it actually lightens the pack. Features: - 7,055 cubic inches, 116 liters capacity for the size large. - Pack and hipbelt are a size large. Fits torso length approximately 18 - 21 inches. Padded section of hip belt measurement is 34 inches. Add about 11 inches for the adjustable webbing sections. - 8 ounce pack cloth, #10 YKK heavy duty zippers. A robust, rugged pack for extremes. Very durably constructed albeit heavy by today's standards. Weighs in at 6 lbs, 10 oz. Ray Jardine's concepts in lightening pack weight were introduced around 1983 but the 2 design concepts continued to exist side by side for years with present day adherents of each. Large load haulers are needed for extended treks without resupply, trail crews and for restocking back country huts. - Suspension is 2 internal contoured aluminum stays and padded back panel. Dense foam padded ergonomic hipbelt. – Huge top lid pocket ((887 cubic inches), a main body and zippered lower sleeping bag compartment. Lid converts to a fanny pack or can be left behind for reduced weight. Side entry zippers on the main compartment. The top lid panel has lashing points for attaching crampons. – Extension/sealing skirt. - Included are 2 large, about 700 cubic inch each detachable accessory water/fuel bottle pockets and 2 removable front pockets that piggyback. 1 of nylon pack cloth the other mainly of mesh. These add more cubic inches to pack volume. Use with or without as needed. – Ice axe loops. - Side compression straps - Blue with a slightly purplish tint. Now $125.00 plus shipping cost, was $165.00. The packs condition, with the exception of the coating separation, is on par with the best of vintage packs I have seen. Many years of use ahead for this pack. Deterioration of the coating.
