  12. Reduced to $125.00 - Gregory Cassin Internal Frame Pack - Cavernous 116 Liter Load Hauler - Large In 1977, Wayne Gregory with his newly founded company, applied innovative internal frame pack design concepts ...... the contoured profile, ergonomic hip belt, side zippers, taped seams and adjustable suspension ...... in the production of their backpacks. The Cassin was in production from 1987 through 1991 and was the predecessor to the Denali Pro. Up for sale is the final production model with 2 side entry zippers supplementing content access to this top loading, multiple day expedition class pack. The pack is in excellent, lightly used condition. There are no cuts, tears, abrasions, loose stitching or worn areas. The exception is the polyurethane fabric coating has deteriorated and is peeling in its entirety. It removes easily and rolls right up cleanly and without residue. As many of you are aware, a very common issue with coatings as they age. No worries though as a new Gregory pack rain cover comes with the purchase. When the old coating is removed it actually lightens the pack. Features: - 7,055 cubic inches, 116 liters capacity for the size large. - Pack and hipbelt are a size large. Fits torso length approximately 18 - 21 inches. Padded section of hip belt measurement is 34 inches. Add about 11 inches for the adjustable webbing sections. - 8 ounce pack cloth, #10 YKK heavy duty zippers. A robust, rugged pack for extremes. Very durably constructed albeit heavy by today's standards. Weighs in at 6 lbs, 10 oz. Ray Jardine's concepts in lightening pack weight were introduced around 1983 but the 2 design concepts continued to exist side by side for years with present day adherents of each. Large load haulers are needed for extended treks without resupply, trail crews and for restocking back country huts. - Suspension is 2 internal contoured aluminum stays and padded back panel. Dense foam padded ergonomic hipbelt. – Huge top lid pocket ((887 cubic inches), a main body and zippered lower sleeping bag compartment. Lid converts to a fanny pack or can be left behind for reduced weight. Side entry zippers on the main compartment. The top lid panel has lashing points for attaching crampons. – Extension/sealing skirt. - Included are 2 large, about 700 cubic inch each detachable accessory water/fuel bottle pockets and 2 removable front pockets that piggyback. 1 of nylon pack cloth the other mainly of mesh. These add more cubic inches to pack volume. Use with or without as needed. – Ice axe loops. - Side compression straps - Blue with a slightly purplish tint. Now $125.00 plus shipping cost, was $165.00. The packs condition, with the exception of the coating separation, is on par with the best of vintage packs I have seen. Many years of use ahead for this pack. Deterioration of the coating.

  24. Hey all, A local Bellingham nonprofit, Vamos Outdoors Project, is holding an online auction, and FF down booties are one of the items. There are some REI tents/sleeping bag/pad as well. Lots of local art and brewery goodies. Feel free to check it out! www.32auctions.com/Vamosoutdoorsproject2019 Vamos Outdoors Project (VOP) works to create opportunities for Latinx and English Language Learner youth to participate in environmental education and other recreation activities. We also work with local outdoors organizations to help them connect with the Latinx/ELL population. VOP incorporated in April 2018, here we are one year in! We are serving over 40 youth in our current programming , and have worked with over 60 throughout the past year. We also work with families, holding outreach sessions and community education events about the benefits of healthy lifestyles and the outdoors. We are a volunteer dependent organization, our work depends on the long term commitment of volunteers to help run programming and build positive relationships with the youth. If you know a Vamos volunteer, give them a big thanks! We are based out of Bellingham, Washington. If this seems inappropriate for CascadeClimbers, I can take it down. I received great support last time I connected with people here, so hoping it works again! Andy
  25. Was $175, now at $125.00. 4 season, double wall dome that is very roomy for 2 and will fit 3 persons. about the same floor space as the VE25. In addition to the zippered entrance, the tent has double snow tunnel entrances for winter and mountaineering use. Four, 157" equal length replacement fiberglass poles. 2 shorter Easton aluminum awning supports which I have purchased from TNF. The original owner lost the pole bag. The fiberglass poles are strong and work fine but are heavier and do not have the ultimate strength of metal for mountaineering use ..... but who among you is unaware of this. The tent is in excellent, lightly used overall condition. No stains, no funky odors and the polyurethane coating on the floor and rainfly isn't sticky or peeling. Very clean throughout. There was a slit in the fabric of 1 pole sleeve and another near the entrance which I have solidly repaired. (Again for the uninitiated, the center shadow spots on the photo's is a flaw of my older point and shoot) Note: If your planning regular, serious mountaineering use, TNF sells the 4 Easton aluminum poles for $192.00 but they are out of stock. TentPole Technology sells the 4 poles in Easton aluminum for approximately $144.00. 4 TNF aluminum poles on E-Bay at the present selling at $30.00 each. - Nylon taffeta floor, canopy and rainfly. - Zippered main entrance with bug netting. Netting is mint. - Double snow tunnel entrances with netting for summer ventilation. - Additional guy line pullouts on the rainfly for high wind and snow load conditions. - 2 inside netting gear pockets. - Free standing. - Seams on the floor and rainfly were not previously sealed. A blank slate for you to do the job. No old, flaking sealer to clean up. Weights: Rainfly, 2lbs 6oz - Poles & Stakes, 3lbs 10oz - Main Body, 4lbs 1oz Comes with setup instructions, poles, pegs, separate pole and tent bags. Asking $125.00 plus shipping cost from 80517. Reconfigured the box to 32"x9"x6.5". Use 10 and 1/2 lbs as the packaged shipping weight. Pickup in Estes Park, CO also available.
