  1. What the fuck get a life. This is this guy's personal(Adamson's) web page. No one and I mean no one is breaking anyone's arm to read someone else's web page. If you think you have a better idea do one of your and stop acting like a middle schooler. 99% of all this verbage just for fun anyway.
  2. awwwwww the K man...he is so self-righteous that it is sick. I was living in Alaska when the young man died in his van in the wilderness. K did all this quasi psyco analysis of a youngster that screwed up plain and simple. Then the Everest thing came and went and he just flogged Anatoli to death when in fact MR. K could of been in the lime light as a rescuer, but he did not have the stamina of the Ruski so what did he do, slam him.
  3. I hate both places. Been to both and the attitude of both the workers and the customers sucked. I've been climbing for more years than most of you fuckers have been alive and attitude is piss poor in the alpine world. Stone Garden and Cascade Crags are better. Most people there have normal incomes thus they don't have the 'tude that they are important. By the way CCM is a friend of mine Lambone [This message has been edited by sisu suomi (edited 08-15-2001).]
  4. You know, these things are basically vege eating rodents. I've eaten muskrat and the buck tooth beaver(not to be confused with the toothless as biteing this one will get you slapped)both of these rodents are good to eat. I'll bet Snaffelhounds are good too. Hell, we should leave all freeze dried at home and arm ourselves with wall hammers, ice axes and sling shots. Fresh flesh before and after a climb would be gooood.
  5. Snaffelhounds once ate the crotch out of a buddies pants at colchuck lake, alas he had no underware so out he hiked with an open crotch...fuckin funny for us but not him
  6. Moderator my ass...America is too concerned with being nice and polite. Fuck it and say it all if you got the balls or ova. Capt Caveman could moderate as he would let it all slide except any Mountaineer Mottos or such stuff that they may mumble when out and about.
  7. Vantage has some great climbs and unfortunately some people do tie up routes all fucking day, because they treat it like they are at a gym. If someone asks me politely I will let them use my rope, or I'll pull my stuff as soon as we have finished. Generally the people I climb with do the route and move on to more climbs, be it at Vantage, Leavenworth, Smith, Wild Iris, J Tree, etc. Most climbers are like us, but there are those few that test your patience. I'd like to give one a good poke in the nose, but then again these are the same types that would sue rather than give you a poke in the nose back. This is not a new problem, hell in the early 70's a friend of mine got into it with a climber while he was belaying me up a very difficult climb in Leavenworth. I guess I was taking too long for the MF'er and he announced that he was going to pull me down. That's when Mike took out a "BIG" hex and offered to decorate his head with it. I guess some people just have too little time off and they are in such a hurry because life is passing them by so they make up for it by being rude.
  8. I made my first rug without any directions about 8 years ago recovering from surgery. It actually came out half way decent. Although my son remarked that I must of had good pain killers to allow me to sit that long and do the weaving thing to make a rug, and I did!
  9. There is a vaccine for Lyme disease. We got it for our dogs for as far back as 10 years ago. It had not been OKed for humans back then now it is. I hate the things and I am going out ASAP to get my shot.
  10. I remember in the 70's when there was a thief at Squamish. A group would be on the wall and he would hit the cars for booty. I won't go into detail but climbers caught the bastard and managed to harm him, but in today's society the f***ing criminal would go free and the climbers would be jailed. Personally, I'd take the jail time just to see the F***er in pain.
  11. Ya, there are about 3 or 4 shops that sell that stuff. I think the chain is called Pacific Coast Sports or Coast Sports.QUOTE]Originally posted by CascadeClimber: Hey you Canucks- Can any of you tell me which shops in Vancouver (or nearby vicinity) carry Arc'Teryx soft goods? I'm interested in picking up a new set of Goretex. MEC carries their packs, but not Gtex. -CC
  12. Hi Jughead, I too am looking for climbing partners but would like to know some things about your experience, ability and interests. For example I enjoy all aspects of climbing, rock, ice, & mountaineering (except Aid,I wouldn't write it off but it is not much fun). Return an answer ASAP as I am leaving on a trip soon. I am being vague also as I would like a mutual exchange of information [This message has been edited by sisu suomi (edited 02-18-2001).]
