Is this below NF Hood/Elliot Glacier? If so, did you get a look at the NF of Hood and how did it look? I'm particularly interested in the Right Gulley.
It is on the Eliot, but didn't really get a view of the NF due to the weather conditions. My partner Noah was back on Hood yesterday and saw someone solo the Right Gully so it might be in currently.

The way I understand things, the core zone permit allows you to camp in any of the zones. So you could climb Stuart initially then go on to enjoy the rest of the core zone afterwards, leaving you with only one trip up and down Aasgard.

Look into the ultrapedestrian wilderness challenge routes. The most that they will have is some snow traversing and maybe some scrambling but they're plenty of fun and should be doable solo or with a friend. The website is http://ultrapedestrianwildernesschallenge.com/ and the route descriptions are in the ultrasignup pages for each route.

I'd really recommend against Hood this season. The warm temperatures this late in the summer melt the ice that's keeping the upper mountain together. So unless you like playing dodgeball with falling rocks it might be smart to delay on Hood.

Better PNW weather forecasting

Would like to thank @bedellympian for this excellent resource. Was able to get in a summit on Hood Sunday before the weather rolled in thanks to knowing when exactly we had to be off and heading down. Seemed everyone else was scared off by the forecast they got from other resources, or they got their fill in on Saturday.
