  3. Looking to see if anyone is interested in partnering for any fun summits between Seattle and Portland. Maybe mid week next week or next weekend...message here or email me tripleaderdave@gmail.com. I am doing my research into what is soloable, but would love to have some local knowledge and an able body on another end of a rope if I can find the right folk.

Ski @ Hood? I had thought of climbing and skiing @ Mt Hood if that seems of interest...

  5. Hey Guys,

    Thinking about an April summit...conditions?

I hear the south face is pretty standard but more of a hike?

    North face?

I am an an advanced ice climber with some intermediate mountain and backpacking experience...How about solos? A climb up the North and decent south? transport back?

Anyone up for partnering on such an adventure?

  8. Hey All,

I am flying into Seattle in a couple weeks and am getting heavy into "planning". I say that loosely, since I like to be flexible for weather and explorations sake, but as far as gear goes and choosing what to bring and where to shoot for...

I am from the NE, have been that way, but not with the crowd where I could fully be off my leash, haha! So, my alpine experience is not very glacial, nor within an alpine environment at the altitudes you all enjoy. My only high altitude climb (non-glacial and not very technical) was Mt. Whitney. So yes, high, but the July environment may have been much more forgiving...

I have alot of the skills, equipment and knowledge necessary, but lack the experience. Right now I am looking and Mt. St Helens, Mt. Hood and Mt. Rainer as some options. I know there are several other options for summits...

I am looking to link up to get on some rock and maybe even alpine ice, should anything be available. I am also hoping to gain a better idea of the summit worthy terrain and environment so to know what I can solo (if necessary) and maybe even link up with anyone willing to summit with Nor' Easterner (we did get snow this year).

I hope to get some real advice and not be led to more literature, as I have read a lot and plan on reading more, but every season is different and difficulty ratings based of ability and experience is subjective and open to interpretation.

    Cheers,

    Dave

  10. Hey All!!!

I am going to be flying into Seattle March 29th and am looking to summit, hike, climb and maybe even get on the last remnant of snow...

So I am looking to find folks to rope up with around Washington. I climb anything, but would probably love to get on some sport, single or multi pitch. I lead around 5.10d and follow just beyond that. Trad I can follow hard, but have not taken the fall yet in life, so I tread (Trad, lol) lightly. Anyone around that level looking to partner?!

Also, if anyone is interested in summits or has any beta on decent skiing (given the crappy NW season) I am game...

    Feel free to email tripleaderdave@gmail.com

    Thanks All!

  12. Hey All,

I am flying into Seattle and hoping to make some fun plans for early spring stay...I am not familiar with the area and was hoping for some local beta. It seems the weather (or at least precip) has been different this year and I wanted to know what ice might still be in? if it is worth it to bring skis, even if to head upto BC, what other adventures/summits might be worth a run; and lastly, but certainly not least what will be the best options for sport/trad/TR and who wants to partner up??? I am willing to travel and will probably be car camping it most of the time, but any beds or cheap accommodation recommendations would also be greatly appreciated...

Feel free to respond here or email me tripleaderdave@gmail.com
