Looking for partner this weekend to climb Golden Horn and Tower with. I'd like to do the 5.6 crack on Tower and std route on Golden Horn. Drive up Fri night hike in Sat morning and climb Golden Horn. I am very interested in something. If the weather holds I've been wanting to climb Peaks like Dorado Needle, Johannesburg, Goode, Burgundy Spire, Slesse (Although I can't lead Slesse), and others. I am free Friday morning through Monday at 2pm every weekend

Thanks...would we be able to avoid bringing boots, screws etc if we climb over and avoid the ice? I heard it is 5.6 with a rap which isn't bad. We may also take the East Ledges DC

Anyone want to join me on the Torment Forbidden Traverse? Days will likely be thursday/friday. I'd like to have someone more experienced than me. I am just getting started with lead climbing. I can climb 5.9 following and have led 5.7 sport routes. I am getting comfortable placing pro and setting anchors just would like to have someone else with more experience to be safe. Anyone know about the torment-forbidden traverse? How is the icy traverse section on the north side before the notch? Will we need ice screws? or plastic boots? We plan to ascend the std route on torment and traverse. Can all the 5th class sections of the west ridge be rappelled if we bring slings. Thanks

Well, I have already made plans for Shuksan via Fisher Chimneys for Sunday. Saturday I have a golf tourney. I am looking for someone to do the Torment/Forbidden traverse with next weekend tho. BTW...nice to see another CO guy here. I just moved back here from Golden. Went to the School of Mines. Althouugh CO is fantastic, the Cascades are still home for me.

I would be interested but only if you can't find anyone else to go. 5.8 is around my limit so I wouldn't be able to lead. I am available Sunday. Do you know how sustained the 5.8 climbing is?

Do you only hit the crags or do you also climb alpine? I'm looking for some more alpine climbing partners...unfortunately the season is winding down for that and I'll be starting more winter mountaineering/skiing soon.

Anyone willing to join me for the Ragged Ridge Traverse this week? The plan is to leave around midnight Wednesday night and drive to the Easy Pass TH and climb Mesahcie then traverse to Katsuk, Kimtah and Cosho on the south sides of the peak on Thursday. We will then return partway and find a spot to bivy for Thursday night and hike out Friday morning. I need to be back to Seattle by 4:30 pm Friday so this will be a pretty fast paced trip. I am able to drive/pick anyone up as well. Thanks!
